Discover My Favorite Projects Of All Time

Yesterday I hit a huge milestone!  I have been blogging for 8 months and finally reached 10,000 page views!

For me this is a big deal and totally worth celebrating.  What better way to celebrate than to take a little stroll down memory lane.  I want to list my 10 favorite projects and give you a little inside scoop on why these projects are my favorite!  So let’s get started!

Here are ten of my favorite posts!! Click on the title to see each post.

10. Easy Burlap Banner

I love burlap and this easy project looks perfect hanging over the re-finished window on my mantel.  It works perfect for fall (if you make a fall banner) and especially after Christmas when decorating is a little trickier!

9. Easy Christmas Bows

I love Christmas time!  The glow of the tree lights and the memories as you hang each special ornament on the tree.  It is my favorite holiday by far!  After the many hours of finding just the right gift, I love topping it off with a beautiful bow.

8. DIY Fall Wreath

This is actually the first wreath I have ever made!  Now that I have a wreath, I have no idea why I waited so long to make one.  They are so easy to make and look so festive hanging on the door! I have already made a wreath for spring, soon I’ll have one for every season!  I am definitely hooked.

7. Monthly Meal Planning: (2 Part Series) Organizing Recipes and Making Meal Plans

Not many things can top my list for organizing and efficiency like monthly meal planning.  It is the most budget friendly way to plan meals and takes the stress out of what’s for dinner.  I can’t remember exactly when I started, but have been planning meals on a monthly basis for around 4 years.  Once you start you won’t ever go back!  I also organized my recipes into a binder about one year ago and never looked back….the years of putting it off were not worth it!  There is so much to fall in love with in this post!!

6. DIY Canvas

My little half bathroom was so plain, so I picked up three blank canvases at Michael’s.  I think they only cost about $12 for all three.  My original plan was to take a map and cut it into three sections and mod podge it onto the canvas.  However, I ordered a map online and when it arrived, I didn’t like it very much.  So now I still had three blank canvas and needed to figure out what to do.  I came across this idea on Pinterest and it has been hanging in my bathroom ever since.  My husband always says it is one of his favorite projects that I have done!

5. Easy Backsplash Update

When we moved into our house the tile in the kitchen was actually white subway tile, which I love!  However, for some reason it just blended in.  It definitely wasn’t a standout feature. I soon realized it was because the grout was white or really more of a yellow from age.  I began looking up ways to clean the grout and came across a way to color the existing grout!!  I bought one bottle, which cost less than $10 and it was amazing what a difference it made.  I never imagined how much I would fall in love with it…and what a simple project (very time consuming…but simple) it would be.

4. The Best Way To Organize School Papers

My son is in third grade this year….so all through Pre-school, Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd I had put his “special” papers in a brown box.  Some of them were wrinkled and some were not labeled, the papers were a mess.  This past fall I finally dug in and created a system to keep their school papers organized!  I had the biggest feeling of accomplishment!  I love having all their papers organized and love the cover sheets I created (which is a free printable offered to you)!  I was so happy how this project turned out and that is why it is number four.

3. A Complete Playset Makeover (4 Part Series)

The playset when we moved into our house, 4 years ago, was a disaster.  I had a few concerns about the safety (low railings, large gaps next to the slide), but for the most part it was functional…just a mess to look at.  I began sketching out what I wanted and my husband made it happen!  It is the most adorable playset for my girls and even my son enjoys playing on it.  I can’t believe the transformation and still love looking at it in the backyard!

2. Our Landscaping Project (4 Part Series)

Our landscaping went from dirt and weeds to something incredibly beautiful!!  We laid down a flagstone pathway, wood chips, shaped the flowerbeds and so much more.  This spring I thoroughly enjoyed the fruits of our labor.  The plants were all beginning to fill in from being planted last year or being moved around.  I am so happy with everything we did last year.  It made a huge difference and I love all our landscaping now!!

1. Mudroom Makeover (3 Part Series)

My absolute favorite project has to be our mudroom.  It is the most functional and beautiful space in our house.  I love the pallet wall and the creativity of using a space that already existed and using it in a completely new way.  It went from being an inefficient pantry to a dream mudroom.  The space is tiny, but amazing.  Plus, I love all the colors in the mudroom.  It is such a fun space!

I have to say it was harder than I thought to narrow down my 10 favorite posts, but it was so fun looking back through them!  I am so thankful for all of my readers and I am excited how much my blog is growing!  Thanks again for checking out my post!
